"...someone to hold me tight, that would be very nice... so nice... it would be so nice..." If you agree, try this link: http://www.inetarena.com/~soundman/So_nice.html When the option to save the file comes up, save it as: so_nice.mp3 ...for some reason (on my machine, at least), the default file extension the machine wants to add is .mpa, rather than .mp3 .... No big deal, just change it to .mp3 before you click "Save", or download it and rename it with the .mp3 extension after it's on your hard drive. Hope you like it everyone-- I think it's a perky little number, myself!! file specs: 5.1 MB, compressed with Fraunhofer Professional codec @ 160/44 Have a nice weekend, everybody!! - -Kevin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Sep 1999 23:46:50 -0400 From: "Joe Palcher" Subject: Buckling under the pressure OK, I stopped by may favorite CD store (remind you guys, this is the one that didn't have "Clear Horizons" last year when I tried to first buy it--I promised myself I never would go back, but hell, they have the cheapest price on CDs around, who could not go back? But I digress . . .) to pick up the newest Dixie Chicks CD "Fly." Then I was thinking, well, I should listen to the "Springtime Laughter" song on the Spyro Gyra CD just in case I would like it. I ended buying it. It's nice to hear Basia doing such a light jazzy. Little different than her usuall stuff. Then I found out I like the whole CD. I guess I'm getting a little soft on my tastes for music as I get older. Often at night I listen to the Light Jazz channel on my cable music system--it is truly quite relaxing after a hectic day at work. Ten years ago I would have puked at the mention of listening to it. I love sitting back listening to light jazz, close my eyes, and allow the music to paint a landscape in my mind. raburabu joe ******************************************************************** Joe Palcher jjpalcher@msn.com ICQ#461853 Japanese English Gem (seen on a billboard for Poccari Sweat, a Japanese soft drink, at Kyoto Station in Japan) "Body Request" (Sounds like the drink is requesting bodies, no that the body requests the drink) ******************************************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Sep 1999 23:40:35 -0500 From: "Jim Clary" Subject: Re: Buckling under the pressure Spyro Gyra is a terrific jazz band, probably my favorite. They have been around for many years. I'm planning to buy that CD myself, next time I get over to Best Buy. I have always been curious about this group's name. "Spyro Gyra" is pronounced exactly the same as "Spirogyra". Any botany student knows that Spirogyra is a type of aquatic algae. I wonder why they chose that name. Maybe they just like the way it sounds. Does anyone in the group happen to know?
