I was just sharing one of the more extreme and weird Basia related messages I've gotten. I found it to be funny, in a ha-ha-what?!? sort of way. As for what else had been going on: * I just moved to a rather nice townhouse in north Austin -- I spent two weeks packing boxes and am now in my second week of unpacking and arranging. * The company for which I work, Metrowerks, is in the middle of being acquired by Motorola in a friendly acquisition. Still lots of uncertainty among us Metrowerkers about what will happen to the company's unique culture. * I'm going to be speaking in October at the Atlanta Linux Showcase, actually October 16th at 11AM to be exact, giving a talk on porting CodeWarrior to Linux. So, what is the Basia connection... hmmm, well... I packed all the Basia CD-ROM material in a separate box, I have Basia MP3's at work on a CD I burned for personal use, and ... I saw Basia in concert in 1994 in Atlanta. Yeh, that's it. Oh... I've also been locked out of modifying the web server that BasiaWeb is hosted on due to the sys admin being out of the country since the beginning of August. I should reacquire login rights soon, and at that time, I have a few updates to make to it. ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V4 #176 ***************************
