Geez, ever hear the phrase, "Take the time to smell the roses?" Sometimes it's the little things that give people the most joy..... What about me? I think that people should just say what's on their mind and not worry if it is "significant" by yours or anyone else's standards. I think it is *very* significant (and awesome) how many people have posted here because of their "wonderment of hearing her music piped through the sound system of a retail store." Let's all start discussion lists of our favorite performing artists and report on when and how we felt vicariously once their music was heard overhead away from home. How significant to know retail store chains are right on the pulse of America when it comes to entertaining us and keeping our vitality fancy free. Just think, what if they took requests....... These fights rarely seem to be productive, so I'd like to suggest that we avoid criticizing each other and turn to bashing a struggling Polish artist. ;-) During the time I had no internet access a couple months ago, I bought the Edyta Gorniak CD. I figured it would be worth the 570 yen (used) to see how bad she really is. My opinion? She's not that bad. She's not that good, either. She's downright boring. I don't think I was able to listen to a single song all the way through. I do take issue with Basia comparing her to Mariah Carey. I'm not a fan of Mariah, but in her defense, I must say that she's ten times more interesting than Edyta. (And it wasn't worth the Y570.) There, isn't that better? - -Brian* P.S.- Repeating my previous request, could we try to not include the entire text of messages we reply to? Thanks. - -BC* ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jul 1999 12:19:24 -0400 From: "Ashoke S. Unfortunately, other mundane things such as clothing took priority over 34 boxes of lego when it came to transatlantic flights. :-( I have NEVER heard Basia in a retail store of any sort. :-( Did hear "Cruising for Bruising" (extended remix) at a bar recently though. :-) Ashoke. _______________________________________________________________________ Ashoke S.
