Seems like everyone is just pushing back those dates! Speaking of which, whatever happened to "before the summer holidays," eh? Do the summer holidays begin later in England or something? (or for the Mac heads like me, "if you want to think different, try one more time" Ugh, that was bad. Anyway... > I really wanted to have Basia saying > "Hi, this is Basia and you > are listening to Smooth Jazz" everytime I opened > up windows or downsized > something. hee! I wanted to set it up so during setup she would say "just a minute" (since I have no "smooth jazz" playing on my computer;) ) Since I didn't have time to figure it all out before, I set up my Mac's internal voice thingie to spout out a few phrases, "if you have any doubts try one more time," "next time I might get it right," or "we are cruising for bruising, my baby." One can pick from a variety of weird voices on Mac OS 8.5 but I like the most monotone, mechanical ones like Trinoids and Princess. There's just nothing like hearing a bizarro voice croak out "hug an olive tree, oooo" while the printer dialog box comes up. Kinda compliments the "Roswell" desktop theme. Sheesh, I sound like I've lost my mind. - -Leslie, techie in training _____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
