Yes, it was supposed to be one pic... I think I gotta try to convert it again - original is over 2,000x3,000 pixels and my PC probably doesn't have enough memory to display it properly. Alibabki are the band where Basia sang, when she was still in Poland and didn't even dream of becoming the internet...national star. Ashoke is the sweet guy from this list, who writes beautiful essays and still didn't reply my email. *sigh* ;) Kevin wrote: > >>>>>>>.ATTN: BASIA MAILING LIST--(etc.) > > Hope y'all enjoy it! I probably would, but my mailing program only displays "part 00/17" and doesn't display any of the following parts; and part 00 includes only the text saying it's the Third Time Lucky version etc. Would you mind putting it on the FTP/WWW site to download? Hope it went well, so if she has a chance to come back, she will. We have a very cool city, some beautiful venues, and a nice Polish-American community. So come on, Bash! I don't think I received anything since I got back from CA. :-D Talking about favorite Basia songs, here are my TOP five in the order of preference (at least currently): 1. Yearning 2. Just Another Day 3. From Now On 4. Time and Tide 5. Baby You're Mine (Meg, Richard and I will hopefully tape this some day). ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Mar 1999 07:51:34 -0500 From: "Ashoke S. I have a question. Why does the recording of the ESK1276 promo tracks sound so bizarre? Is it just that I got spurios mp3's or is that how they really are? The MP3's I posted on the now-gone MP3 site were made from a tape of ESK1276 that I got from Ken Drew a while back. The conversion process (CD to tape to computer to MP3) could have added some bad artifacts. I'd love to get versions taken directly from the CD -- they should be a lot cleaner. - -- Benjamin L.
