I'm sorry no-one seems to remember the site I was talking about. I must have imagined it or something. They used to post the password on here. The username was 'Basia' and the password was 'halfaminute'. Am I going mad? Absolutely nobody seems to know what the heck I am talking about.....!! OK, I'll try this another way. I need the mp3 of Basia's TTL New Version. Mine got corrupted. It ISN'T on Ben's site. I know about Ben's site. And the version of TTL on 'Sweetest Illusion' is the wrong one. I mean the one with the drum beat. If anyone knows a site where I can get this (and there used to be one, I assure you!) then I will be heartily, heartily, grateful.... Listen! Is that a lawsuit I hear? So there's no credit for Basia and Danny at all? Any copyright lawyers on the list? Speaking of covers--well, I guess we weren't really talking about covers--I recently heard a cover of "Cruising for Bruising" (C f/ B ?) by a Japanese artist named Hirose Kohmi. I was excited to find it, because she has a good strong voice and I really like the two new songs she currently has out. However, her rendition of the song was rather bland. Very low-key and, of course, no harmonies. At least she did give Basia and Danny due credit. >>Can someone tell me where I could find the titles "Traditionnal Polish >Sambas" This is a Japanese bootleg isn't it? Should be pretty hard to come by, eh? >>and the vinyl singles "Me and Mr Sanchez" and "Haunted Cocktails". Hmmm... Me & Mr. Sanchez is by Blue Rondo A La Turk, a group Danny was in (circa 1981) before Matt Bianco (as well as Mark Reilly and Kito Poncioni) Somewhere in the archive theres a sort-of article I posted about them. Haunted Cocktails is by Intro. And poor Basia must've needed cash or something so she sang background on it.
