Anything about a group called Texas? I just watched the video of "Ever After", and I really liked the closing song, particularly the female vocalist. The group performing, of course, was identified as Texas. I have never heard of the group, before, but then I usually listen to "straight-ahead" jazz (as opposed to smooth jazz, or adult contemporary). The singer has some of the richness that Basia attained when she started singing in the lower octave, but less of that enchanting quality of Basia's, while still being intriguing. Please respond off the list, if you think the list will get too cluttered with off-topic messages. Thanks! TTFN, Stephen Stephen Ylvisaker greyfell@iname.com "That's the whole problem with science. I always thought it was the act of injustice. Why can women wear trousers and men can't wear skirts? I've got great legs which deserve to be shown! :D Leslie, sweetie! > >BTW: Leslie, new Pet Shop Boys single is scheduled for release at April > 5th, > >album at April 26th! YIKES! Now let's hope it's true. > Hey, great birthday present! (which is the 6th) Love how this stuff is > timed sometimes! Wow! Let me guess... is it 22nd birthday? :) I've also read that Neil Tennant himself confirmed that the date of release is *May*. Well, it's much better than "somewhere this year"... The sad PSB related note: March 3rd, 1999 Dusty Springfield passed away. She was fighting cancer for the last 5 years and - finally - the cancer won. Rest in Peace, Dusty... I can make an MP3 for you, or you can always try to get the UK import edition of George Michael's album, where As appears. Plus, US radios play the song, even despite the fact it's not released there. > I just hope that Basia still want to record in 10 years... I'm glad you said that because I was wondering how this guy got my address. I was thinking it was through the Acid Jazz ML. Yes, I have been getting tons of these AND tons of messages from people reaming this guy out! Sheesh, and I was doing so well not having junk mail on this account the past 3 years. >Yes! Well, it's >much better than "somewhere this year"... Yup, 22. :) Now all we need is a Basia release date, and we'll be all set. I made the mistake of replying to remove me from a coulple of lists. My newspaper last night said that you should never open the junk mail, or respond (that lets them know that you are "alive"). > >How do you get this "junk" to quit?? Anybody know?
