Also, I ask again, is the Berimbau mix of Baby You're Mine different than the remix on the CD single and if so in what way? Is this mix available on CD anywhere officially? Thanks, Mike PS Ben, how are the CDRs coming along? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Jan 1999 08:39:44 EST From: Gorskiceap@aol.com Subject: Re: basia-digest V4 #6 In a message dated 08/01/99 12:28:51 Central Standard Time, lmc@dmr.com writes: << Basia is talking about Bach Flower Remedies, i.e. "Tender feelings heal with flowers when your woes and sorrows leave you overwhelmed" >> Hmm, maybe so. It's what I had in my planner, and I believe I got it either from an old CD, or someone posted it some time in 1997. Also, I'm sure at least a dozen other list people have sent this to you. She left the following post on the list (Elsa is her mother). Apparently, she has been going through some MAJOR problems! She is the hospital and yes, she is alive. Please say a word of prayer for her. I know this has nothing to do with the original topic of this list, but I believe there are also some Cecilia Bartoli fans out there sharing my liking -- and that's to put it mildly -- for Basia. Well, if those people are reading this, I'll bet they're green with envy! I met Ceci last Saturday!!!!!!!!! I happened to hear on the radio some time last week that the day before her Sunday performance in Amsterdam, she would be doing a signing session at a department store there. Well, I wouldn't let this chance of a lifetime pass me by, so I went. Waited for 90 minutes, was second in line, got a complimentary poster of her "live in Italy" album, and asked her to sign that as well as 2 of my CDs. She was so terrific! Asked me where I came from and why I was there, to which I could only give a rambling answer, I guess. I did manage to tell her that we were born only six days apart, though, but that she looks much younger than that (had been rehearsing that all day...), to which she heartily laughed. Unfortunately, there wasn't any more time, so I was ushered away, but I kept standing at a distance, admiring her. Boy, is she cute! Anyway, that's one of my dreams come true. Now i'm waiting for Ms T. to fulfil another one... I wrote (well, orginally Seal): >How many times have you fallen in love with a lyric that you thought >went, 'Show me a day with Hilda Ogden and I'll despair,' The Jan wrote: "HILDA OGDEN?? You guys must get old versions of 'Coronation Street' (British TV Soap) or something??!! Because she left the show AGES ago!! Please tell!!" Don't worry, Jan. I haven't seen that show. It was all written in Seal's liner notes for his 1994 album. Though, now that you mention where Hilda Ogden came from (and after seeing it mentioned in the totally wunderbar film, "Beautiful Thing"), I'm quite interested in seeing a show or two. Back in the late 80's, I was a diehard fan of "East Enders" when it was shown on PBS (public broadcasting), and even got my mother hooked. I haven't seen it for ages though . . . . Jan, I think you wrote this a bit ago, but I'm just catching up with my e-mail today.
