In July of 1994 I moved there to be with Kathy, and we planned to be married. I listened to TSI all that summer. Those songs really hit home, as they were bright, upbeat, and full of positive feelings. I drove to work each morning through the hills of that city enjoying the first 5 songs, and got home from work listening to "The Prayer of a Happy Housewife". That last song, though obviously written from a female perspective, struck a chord with me. It's all about having a family and being satisfied and fulfilled with what you have. Unfortunately, she and I broke up, angrily, I might add, but at least TSI brings back memories of the short time when all was wonderful. (I knew something was wrong when she didn't want to go to the concert that fall - Basia was wonderful!) Sorry Ohioians, but TSI is about the only good memory I have of living there for three years! I also suspect that Buffalo, with its own Polish contingent, would make the perfect place to kick off Basia's next world tour. You folks can drive up here and join the fun! The last two days have really been nice after that cold wave into the mid-40's finally left the area. I wish that I had paid attention when the rest of you guys planned the Poland thing.
