Why not go to London for the HMV Store date??? ;) ;) ;) I *loved* the "Basia Concerts 101", Leslie. Good one!!! Yes, we all SHOULD holler at Danny, because he IS the MAN! :) I'm also all for polkas in the aisle - can never find an old-fashioned guy who can polka, tho... Dunno why, the dance is terrific!!! I remember singing along at the top of my lungs to quite a few songs at the show at the Greek Theatre here in Los Angeles. It's an outdoor venue and it's really nice - I had an aisle seat, so when the band broke into "Rachel's Wedding" I got up and boogied by myself, out in the aisle. That was fun. I also remember sitting behind some really young guys who were TOTALLY SMASHED on whatever they'd been drinking, and they were a laugh riot - they were singing and falling all over themselves and obviously enjoying the heck out of the concert. They made the biggest noise when Danny was introduced, and I wondered if they were Matt Bianco fans... Didn't get to ask, as I had to pop off before the show was over to beat the crowd to the "green room". Basia did NOT, however, make an appearance in the green room as she was doing some interview for a radio station or a television station or something (drat!)... The green room was a total solid mass of people anyhow, it would have been impossible to "meet & greet". Los Angeles is like that for any touring musician, tho. Everyone has family or friends here and they all get invited into the green room and the place is so packed you can't meet ANYONE... Something kinda funny happened to me at one of the LWNY tour shows I saw - I went with a friend, and he and I went afterwards to the backstage party - Peter saw me and said, "How'd you get back here???" Well, I'd just given them my name and the guard had let me and my friend in... Peter was incredulous as he had completely forgotten to put me on THE LIST, but I got in, anyhow... That was pretty funny! I guess I'd been to six or seven Basia shows (total thru several tours) before I finally got a chance to meet her (and I had to go all the way to San Antonio TX to do it!)... So don't think I've got some sort of advantage by knowing Peter... Being "just a member of the band", he can only do so much... Anyhoo, that's all for now... TTFN! --Di. Not an easy commute to either. bfn BobR ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V3 #222 ***************************
