Hello everybody, since I have been on holiday for quite a long time, what is it about the Basia book? Are you setting together some articles or photos? Can I help in any way? Martin ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Oct 1998 14:04:55 PDT From: "Leslie Brown" Subject: Re: her taste in music Some of the folks that Basia has listed as favorites (past or present) and/or influences include obviously Aretha and Stevie, Marvin Gaye, the O'Jays, Carole king (Tapestry), Danald Fagen (for Nightfly, and you can feel it in her phrasing sometimes), King Crimson, and during the making of TSI she really liked Carleen Anderson from the Young Disciples. Oh, also Eddi Reader. Who knows how much still applies now, though! :) ;)Leslie marzenia@hotmail.com ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Oct 1998 18:45:38 EDT From: Samurai27@aol.com Subject: Re: Basia MP3 Archive - New password Hi whats the latest password. UPI says she was born on the >30th of September 1958. But they are not correct, it is written somewhere (i >forget) >that it is the 29th of September 1958. Diane sez: You know, I remembered, and was surprised when others did not - and then did not post it because of other things on my mind... Thanks for reminding us, Tom! Did I screw this up or what? now I'm not even totally sure of the date. Now the September date, the 30th is correct (i think), because that date was never in question. It is the year that was in question, she is three years older than me and that puts the year at 1959. So even though I was heading in the right direction I never quite got there. The first ready-to-go contribution to the notebook arrived in mail yesterday from Beverly. Thanks Beverly. Very thoughtfully put together and very personal. It was SUCH a pleasant surprise to find it when I got home! Let's see a few more folks! Ashoke. ____________________________________________________________________ Ashoke S.
