Is this the old Al Stewart song from "Time Passages?" I always liked that song, and when I saw Peter's name on Basia's music, I wondered if it was the same guy, which obviously it was. Thanks! Now if that isn't a good excuse to go back home to Detroit, I don't know what is. Grand Rapids isn't *modern* enough to have a Borders. (I love limited editions! What a great idea) Well, sounds like (as was said before) a marketing test to me. Anything to put her name before the public before '99 is definitely a good thing. Maybe the marketing end will be better for "mmmhmmmh" than TSI. I hope so. AND the hunger of the fans is a bit satisfied to boot! I like it. If there's any kind of promotion on the tube it'll be a bonus! Man, I did not expect to see this sort of thing posted. I don't think it's set in yet... It has one of the best hotels, hospitals, sports center, museum, and convention center in the state of Michigan, but no Borders? Give it time; it will. Hi Stephen, I like your signature ^_^ There is this great place called Schuler's. They are quite similar to Border's, and they're independent. I think they had Caravan of Dreams on their listening station when it was out.(Hey, it's the little things!) Are you a native by chance? Sorry, it isn't such a bad place but there's just SO MUCH to poke fun at in my current home base. Gotta enjoy it while I'm here. (I gotta admit, though, the Van Andel Museum is pretty cool...) (Oh, not to mention the best alternative comix shop, Magnum Opus..) To make this Basia related, it is great timing that the new CD is out *just in time* for the Christmas holiday. Makes me wish Grand Rapids had a contemporary jazz station to show it off to these West Michiganers who think the Verve Pipe are the best stinkin band in the... Oops, sorry, there I go again! *hee* Seriously, I;m glad there's public radio, because if I hear the 'Closing Time' song one more time.. ;) Leslie- Kendall College of Art & Design class of '99- and it shows!(grr..) marzenia@hotmail.com *in actuality I'm still quite giddy about Diane's little announcement... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 27 Sep 1998 20:44:10 EDT From: Samurai27@aol.com Subject: Re: NEW Basia album due in November 1998!
