Meant to send this to the list but sent it to Richard instead, by mistaken... - ------- First, a series of belated thanks to Bev and Jan for the up-to-dates on Basia. And yes, this WOULD be my first Basia concert too, having been introduced to her in 1996. Thanks also to Tom for that wonderful little anecdote. Unfortunately, I did not get to the usenet quickly enough, or at least I did not find Kevin's Aretha medley mp3. :-( Tom (or anyone else), is there any way you can e-mail it to me? Thanks in advance. >At 03:55 PM 8/27/98 -0700, Richard from Sun Microsystems wrote: > >Is there any way we can get an email to Basia saying how much we >are looking forward to her new album, and have all of our names on >it? I think that it is nothing short of AMAZING that we, as a list, are alive and thriving even though Basia and Danny have been gone for so long! Perhaps we can start a MEANINGFUL, sorta-chain notebook. Each of us puts a little something in it (be creative, but no illegal substances!), and forwards it to the next list member, until we all have put something in it. We can then have it bound and mail it to Ms. T. This notebook will then have literally travelled around the world to get to her. Maybe each of us can even tear off the postage from the last mailing and paste it into the notes to track its journey. I suppose each person should also keep a copy, just in case the original, at any point, should get lost in mail. It would be interesting to see if the notebook makes it to her before her next album makes it to the stores. I must be dreaming...
