And thanks for offering to share! Please pass a copy on to Ben for the CD archive. In the meantime, can you provide a better URL? Found too many "alt.binaries.sounds.mp3" to have any hope of finding it! Maybe Anders would host it as well? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Larry Lipman - --------------------------------------------------------------- Division Coordinator; Recording Studio Manager - --------------------------------------------------------------- The University of Memphis Commercial Music Program Campus Box 526546 - 232 CFA Building Memphis, TN 38152-6546 (901) 678-2559 [w/voice mail] FAX: (901) 678-5118 E-Mail: Llipman@memphis.edu ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 07:05:06 -0700 From: Joel Cairo Subject: The 1988 concert clip... ...is coming (really!!!) I attempted the second upload last night, and received a message that it was successfully received, but since it appears that GTE's server is once again malfunctioning, it may or may not propagate correctly. I'll wait a bit and see-- if it doesn't show up soon, I'll try again, once my ISP gets around to fixing the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience of the delay, everybody!! - -Kevin (who may be looking for a new ISP before the day is done... :^) ) P.S. to Larry-- The MP3 clip is is being posted to a Usenet newsgroup, not to specific WWW website. To properly access it after it's posted, you'd need two things: access to the proper Usenet newsgroup (in this case, alt.binaries.sounds.mp3), and a newsreader program (e.g. - Forte Free Agent) to properly combine, download and save the entire post. As a side note, although browsers like Netscape generally let you read non-binary posts just fine, they aren't really set up to capture and combine multi-part binary posts (like MP3's) though I thought I read that MS was working on this with the latest version of their Internet Explorer program... Anyway, that's why a WWW search engine won't help you in this case... Hope this helps! - -Kevin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Aug 1998 12:36:07 -0500 From: talukdar@morph.EBME.CWRU.Edu (Ashoke Talukdar) Subject: Re: From the mists of history... How do I get it off the newsgroup. I am using Microsoft Outlook Express. Never tried doing this from a newsgroup. BTW, how do I find the track? (there are hundreds of posts!)
