Thank you, Phil, for those BEAUTIFUL lyrics to "Waters of March!"  I am
printing them and will be singing along in Portuguese.

Does anyone have the Portuguese version of "Waters of March" on an album or
CD?  Abrazo Juan -- anything in your collection that you can recommend?
Also, I recommend seeking out Art Garfunkel's version -- very pretty.

I have a compilation of Jobim material issued by Verve, a
3-cd set entitled 'the man from ipanema'. Unfortunately I
can't locate the appropriate funky numbers relative to
issue, etc., but can tell you it has, on Disc 1, a
Portuguese rendition of  Waters of March, recorded by Tom
and Elis Regina in 1974. The compilation is currently
offered by BMG for about $15.00 US plus shipping, a pretty
good deal, if you ask me.

The textual lyrics I sent off to Jacki (in denial, BTW) I
located at http://nortemag.com/tom/
where, distressingly, I learned that Tom's oldest son was
killed in a car crash just a week
ago in Brazil :-(
