I'm far behind reading my e-mail because of the terrible fires we've had in Florida over the past couple of weeks. Basia's birthday is September 30th. The Associated Press always says she was born in 1956. Others, including the now disreputable Roach, say it's 1959. Dirk run over to your neighbor's place and find out. With regards to the group Perfect, there was someone mentioned on the list many years ago who claimed to have some recordings. I don't believe any of us ever heard them. And Dennis or Larry, is there a working quad machine left in the world? I have a tape recorded in 19*&% on an Ampex - whoosh - splat- bang - ssssshhhh - quad machine and I'd love a dub to a modern format. And for you folks who think this is off-topic, the tape is of a TV program featuring a band in which I played. There could be some slight possiblity that Basis or Danny may have seen this program and been influenced by my playing ;-p. un abrazo, juan ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jun 1998 11:38:19 -0500 From: "Stelmar, Kimberly" Subject: RE: Half a minute Meg- Half a Minute is a cut from the Matt Bianco era :) > ---------- > From: Meg Evans[SMTP:megevans@interaccess.com] > Reply To: basia@smoe.org > Sent: Monday, June 08, 1998 8:43 AM > To: Basia list > Subject: Half a minute > > > Hullo, everyone. Are we sure that there actually WERE any made? > And Dennis or Larry, is there a working quad machine left in the world? Too bad you didn't ask me about 10 years ago... >And for you > folks who think this is off-topic, the tape is of a TV program featuring a > band in which I played.
