I've updated the MP3 archive once again, this time with several treats. First of all, Intro's "Departures" featuring Basia on vocals, courtesy of Juan. Great quality as well, considering the age of the recording (early 80's). Secondly I've added Matt Bianco's "Whose side are you on?", both album and single versions, for those of you who've got a version with another singer (possibly Jenni Evans, who did the vocals on the 1984 "Matt Bianco" album ?). The two versions differ about 1 minutes 10 seconds, the album version featuring some nice harmonic vocalizing from Basia and an extended piano solo. I'm open for further requests. If you have any rare recordings you would like to add to the archive, please contact me. I can add tracks from any of the albums listed below, though I think most of these are available world-wide. If there is any interest for it, I could also add parts of the interview from the "A New Day"-video. BASIA Time and Tide (euro) London Warsaw New York (euro) Best Remixes (jap) Best Remixes II (jap) Brave New Hope EP (euro) Sweetest Illusion (euro) Drunk on Love EP (euro) Third Time Lucky EP (euro) Basia on Broadway (us) MATT BIANCO (WITH BASIA) Whose Side Are You On (euro) MATT BIANCO Matt Bianco Indigo Samba in Your Casa The Best of Matt Bianco (euro) Another Time Another Place Another Remix (jap) World Go Round (jap) I'm also thinking of creating a sort a music forum where we could discuss other artists we like, as well as putting up some MP3 files from some great european jazz/funk/fusion bands I like for everyone's perusal. Let me know what you think. Feel free to contact me if you are having problems logging in, downloading or playing back the files. If you want to contribute, and need information on .MP3 files, software or anything else, send me a mail. And please, everyone: DO NOT make this archive publicly known. Don't link to it from your webpage, or post any messages referring to it in the newsgroups. Let's keep this our own little secret and all the record companies happy :-) The Basia MP3 Archive is located at the University of Oslo, Norway. Anders, there's a MB Album missing in your collection: Gran Via from 1995, released in Jap on JVC Victor and in Europe on Zyx. Great Album, definetely one to have. As I am in the process of buying a new PowerMac, I might be even able to convert one or two songs into MP3 next Month....
