"3rd Time Lucky" was the movies highlite for me! ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Dec 1997 09:42:43 -0500 (EST) From: Bill Couillard - Parallel Open Systems Subject: Re: Basia Songs in Movie Soundtrack Hi Bob, Yup, saw the movie which is titled "Ready to Wear", with the French subtitle you mention. As with many sound track songs, yes, you can certainly pick out Basia in the background, but that's about it. Unlike some of the other responses I saw on this list, I kind of liked this flick. I know nothing about the fashion industry but thought this was kind of funny. You have to believe that Altman is basing the characters in this flick on some real people. Some interesting characters, to say the least. Obviously, this movie will not appeal to all. I wouldn't take it too seriously. billc (with one b) > From: Robert Merchant > To: "'basia@smoe.org'" > Subject: Basia Songs in Movie Soundtrack > X-Priority: 3 > MIME-Version: 1.0 > X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "basia-request@smoe.org" > X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. > > Basia-philes, > > While net-surfing the other day, I came across this CD-for-sale listing: > > ******************************************************** > Drunk on Love: Basia (sentimental) > - contains "Third Time Lucky" & "Perfect Mother" from > 'Pret-A-Port' movie > ******************************************************** > > I wasn't aware that Basia's songs from TSI were on a movie soundtrack, > so I searched the ALL MOVIE GUIDE and found the following film listing: > Pret-A-Porter, 1994, USA. > > So, has anyone seen this film (and heard the Basia songs being > played)??? > > -- Bob ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V2 #213 ***************************
