I do not know if this topic was discussed in former times ?? : Though I am still looking for (all available) CD's and records of Basia, wouldn't it be helpful to have a list (Excel-file) including all collectors items from all over the world (from all members of the mailing list...). ? Everybody could get an overview on Basia's CD's, mixes, special country pressings.... Perhaps, everybody could contribute to the list. To my mind, it could be the beginning of a worldwirde Basia database. What's your opinion on that topic? Would anybody like to contribute? Let's talk about it.... "Any help and response is highly appreciated..." Martin ------------------------------ Date: 8 Nov 1997 13:29:56 EST From: stcarvalho@infolink.com.br Subject: hELP :) Hi people! I really appreciated your information regarding the Lisa Stansfield show & "Snowboy". Sounds like you did well to get an autograph etc. Thanks for writing... I got a real treat on my way to play tennis this morning. The Oasis played "Time and Tide". What a great way to start the day. I enjoyed it so much that when I got home I popped the CD in the old PC and let it blare away. I had almost forgotten how good it was. Sometimes, it's really nice to be time-warped back a decade. I kinda wish that Peter White would drage her along to Caravan of Dreams next month, but ...oh, well.... - -----Original Message----- From: stcarvalho@infolink.com.br To: basia@smoe.org Date: Saturday, November 08, 1997 11:20 AM Subject: hELP :) > Hi people! > > I'm not receving any mail from the list(since, 3 days...)... >Does anybody posted something? > Please let me know ok? > > Thanks :) > > Tati > stcarvalho@infolink.com.br > > ------------------------------ Date: 8 Nov 1997 19:01:54 EST From: stcarvalho@infolink.com.br Subject: Nothing Since 03 NOV 1997 Hi people! That's a great idea, and somehow we could actually 'find out' more about the people on the list and where they live... I know there's people from USA, England, Japan, Germany, Spain, Brasil(that's me :) ) .... Wouldn't be great if we all could actually 'meet' someday in a 'future' Basia concert??? :):) We would seat right in the front of the stage, singing along with her.... -> hum....i think I'm 'dreaming' too much... *laughs* But, really it's so fascinating to be able to change some thoughts with you all....We REALLY have something in common, don't we??? /* Go and ask anybody They will all say the same - everyone 'Basia' is contagious We are a part of a chain.... */ :):) Gotta go now... Love you all :):) Tchau Tati stcarvalho@infolink.com.br ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 8 Nov 1997 16:32:18 -0500 (EST) From: Somegirl99@aol.com Subject: Re: hELP :) In a message dated 97-11-08 14:01:23 EST, Don writes: > I kinda wish that Peter White would drage her along to Caravan of Dreams > next month, but ...oh, well.... Me too, me too. Me and my girlfriend already have our tickets (we're going to Disney World - yeah!). She works the evening shift and I can already tell that she's starting to look a little peaked... probably won't REALLY hit her until, oh.... right around Dec 2nd. Poor thing... guess she'll just have to call in sick. One of the accompanying photos is of a carriage Basia may have actually sat in for the interview given in Old Town Market Square in the VH1 special (as I recall its also in the New Day video) tho the horse pictured here is a chestnut rather than the bay. I suppose if we want to attempt to understand her we should try to learn more about her roots. I'm rather pissed tho that the author of the piece chose to mention Michael Jackson rather than Our Heroine. I mean, what?
