I wrote to Basia about 6 or 7 years ago and DID receive a personal reply, I
still have and cherish that letter.  It was handwritten and thanked me for
being interested and gave me her first USA tour schedule with the date that
she would be in my hometown, (Cleveland Ohio).  It was very sweet and sincere
and signed "Basia" with the last "a" in her name drawn way out horizontally.
  Her signature almost looked like Basieeeeeeeeeeee.   Next time she comes to
the US I am definately going to go to her dressing room after the concert for
an "in-person" autograph.  I did that with BB King one time, it was really
cool.  I hope she does the same.
