Allow my to introduce myself. My name is Anders Hamre, I live in Oslo, Norway and have been a Basia fan since I picked up LWNY at a record store sale in 1990. I bought it without even listening to it, but when I got home I liked it so much I put the CD player on repeat and fell asleep after 5 or 6 times...and when I woke up Basia was still filling the room with her lovely voice. Ahh... I now own most of her records (except for some singles). I'm not really a collector though. For those of you interested I can get you a european version of the Time & Tide album. It's not really that different apart from the picture on the cover and that "Forgive and Forget" is not omitted like in the original US release. The booklet is a drag though, full of CBS NicePrice titles. For collectors only, in other words. E-mail me if you're interested. By the way, check out www.cdbanzai.com. They carry a huge number of Basia releases, including the rare "Waters of March" and several japanese single releases. Be warned: juicy prices! Since I've heard that many people have had trouble getting their hands on the the "Angels Blush" christmas single, I've been so bold as to put it up as an MP3 file (the entire song, 3.6MB) at http://www.uio.no/~ahamre/Angels.mp3 Note that you need an MPEG-Layer 3 player to listen to it, easily found on the web. The sound quality of this format is superb. Well, that's it for now. Best wishes to everyone! Anders ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 6 Aug 1997 19:24:55 -0700 (PDT) From: "Diane F. It's been a hot couple of days here in lovely sunny WARM Los Angeles, and naturally when one is in a grocery store one migrates to the ICE CREAM section... :) Portofino ice cream, an "Italian-style" ice cream, has a flavor entitled MINT BIANCO... It's vanilla ice cream with chocolate mint chips. Sounds tasty. It's about $4. a pint here, so I didn't buy any - but may try some if I suddenly get rich... (heh!) I thought the coincidence amusing enough to share! TTFN! --Di.
