Too weird.) My copy is pretty much frayed at the edges. Good to hear Ben is still at work on the thing. I just hope he can refrain from upgrading his studio to DVD and just let us have the tape! That's true, that episode of Arsenio was 6 or so years ago... but, she appeared again in spring 1994 and sang "An Olive Tree." The interview (if there was one) wasn't as cute that time around... I especially loved the wrestling on the couch with Arsenio from the first appearance. I do believe I have both of these on tape, but let me do some checking as my files have been corrupted of late. If you ever have the chance to see it (rumor has it a compilation of Basia video clips is in the works, but don't quote me on this) you will not only see Basia doing _Until You Come Back To Me_, but also Arsenio enticing Basia to show her bra to the audience. This was, of course, the era of underwear-as-street-costume (kudos to Madonna for this breakthrough) so if anyone is to be blamed for making it an issue it must be Arsenio, who probably realised that in her fevered state Basia could easily be persuaded to do anything. At the close of the show, the host and guest meandered through the audience, hugging and kissing everyone. I have often wondered how many of them became victims to Basia's bronchial bug as a result. I was infuriated to have missed it, as I usually am on top of who is appearing on which late night show, as I feel this is the only way to catch live musical acts on TV. If for no other reason Arsenio's show going off was a loss. He seemed to like Basia a LOT, and their wrestling had something to do with her reminiscing about her brothers, and how she could handle them. My tape collection isn't very organised, and as a result I know (or suspect) I taped over her first Letterman appearance, during which she performed _Run for Cover_. Somebody else has given it to Ben, tho, so I know it's out there. Re: upcoming late night music: John Fogerty on either Letterman or Leno this Thursday night. THIS is a rare bird.
