So...how was the interview Dave Koz did with Basia? Was she great or what? If you were a fortunate listener, can you give a synopsis? I'd really enjoy hearing about it! I got a response from a Polish-American gentleman who kindly offered to help out. Below is his translation. As you might guess, something is always lost in the process. I'm sure the lyrics have a much more romantic feel to them in Ms T's native language. BTW, I'm only posting what I got from him...I don't really know how accurate it is. Instead, it was a question phoned in from a listener (Dave Koz has a feature on his program whereby you can call a number and leave a question on his answering machine for a recording artist). This particular listener had noticed the art work in Basia's "The Sweetest Illusion" album and wondered if she collected art. Her reply: yes, she likes art and has several paintings in her home. I heard the interview over the Internet via WLVE in Miami (6 pm). Oddly enough, I tuned in later (10 pm) to Dave Koz's program on Jacksonville's WFSJ (again on AudioNet), thinking it would be the same program. Instead, it was an older one, and this time the listener question was for Peter White, asking how he got Basia to do "Just Another Day" on his "Caravan of Dreams" album. Peter replied that he had mailed the instrumental track to her and requested she do it, and lo and behold, she returned it with her voice added. He seemed surprised. (Maybe Di can expound further on this?) Hope that helps you, Lori. Bill ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V2 #84 **************************
