Robert I would like whatever you have from "Yearning" that is a fantastic song too as are most of her tunes. I was wondering if there is a songbook published yet with the songs from The Sweetest Illusion album? That is a great place to start to learn the songs although I firured "From Now On" out on my own. I also do da Blues and have a little band. They won't do Basia, we don't have a female lead. Anyway, Nick I will try to tab or at least write down the chords for From now on and send them to you whenever I can find the time. PS I am "yearning" for more new Basia tunes, can't wait for the next album. Any clue when the next one might be out??? Dave, - AND EVERYONE - sorry, I apologise profusely. This note never was supposed to come to the Basia mailing list - it is a note to the Station Managers at a particular ABC affiliate who did not think it was "safe" to show the "coming out" episode of an upcoming "Ellen" show. I was castigating them for being too timid to air the show... Sorry this got to the Basia list, I didn't mean to send it to you all - been working a lot of hours here and must have been very tired when I addressed it. An extra click of the finger managed to put the Basia mailing list at the top of the address list. I deeply apologise for offending anyone. If you care to read the note again you will see that I am just sticking up for human rights. People everywhere (not only in the US) should have a right to choose... And a right not to be censored... Phil sed: >Di, are you saying Basia is gay? And, if so, will she be on _Ellen_? I'll >watch, bigod! > >Phil >(who needs little prompting, under certain circumstances) Phunny Phil: (heh!) Wasn't saying anyone was gay - no there is no truth to the rumor - and BOY DO I WISH Basia was going to be on "Ellen"! The whole point of the matter is this - even if she *was* going to be on that episode of "Ellen", if you lived where that ABC affiliate happened to send shows out to your TV set, you wouldn't be able to WATCH "Ellen" - these guys aren't giving you a choice, they're just yanking the whole episode because it's apparently too... something - I'm not sure what. I apologise once again. TTFN! --Di We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are. -Talmudic Saying ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 19 Apr 1997 17:32:01 -0400 From: jacki@magicnet.net (Jacki) Subject: Re: Fan letter >You're right. Tell me the story Phil... since you started it. What happened?
