We could have our own chain letter - of sorts. Someone starts it, emails it to the next person on the list who adds their own little tib-bit, then to the next person, and so on... everybody keeps adding something and passing it on. The last person can print it out and send it to Biggin Hill. If y'all like the idea, I'll take credit for it. If not... forget I said anything. (What do you expect? Roach [The Idea Man] isn't here) Jacki ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 15 Apr 1997 19:20:22 -0400 From: "GG" Subject: Re: Fan letter i think it is a great idea! lol what the heck...if she does read her fan letters something like that would be sure to make her smile. who is gonna start???? gloria - ---------- > From: Jacki > To: basia@smoe.org > Subject: Fan letter > Date: Tuesday, April 15, 1997 6:54 PM > > Well, why don't we all just write one big letter to her? If anyone is not in possession of the address (in the T&T album liner notes), here it is: Basia P.O. If anything he is more of a reactionary: how many times have you seen him respond to one of OUR ideas or thoughts with, "Dennis are you on CRACK or something?" and then he'll follow up on that with a 75k essay on what he thinks is the proper perspective on that particular point, complete with release dates, disk #'s, the whole nine yards. I can imagine what the Aussies think of him. Probably that we have renewed the whole transportation system, beginning with America's Number 1 nut! As to communicating in writing to Basia, the best method is get a ticket to one of her shows, front row center, and hand her your message as she comes on stage. I saw her on two separate occasions in Boston, and at the beginning of each someone actually got her attention and handed her a card. The first was a request to perform _Run For Cover_ (which in fact was performed, but I think part of the planned set) and at the second, what looked like a greeting card was passed up to her. This she giggled over and set aside. At the very close of the show (following the 4 or 5 encores) she and the band were exiting stage left, and Basia suddenly turned back and ran to retrieve the card, with which she finally departed.
