Fisli" ] Bristol-Myers-Squibbs commercial [rsystem2@juno.com] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Thu, 13 Mar 1997 09:06:08 -0800 From: "Diane F. Fisli" Subject: PW website update & info For those of you interested, there have been a few changes to the Peter White website - I am particularly posting this for the Basia mailing list guitarists - Peter has added a "How Do You Get That Sound?" page that includes stage as well as recording tech information - It is accessed from the FAQ section, and the direct URL is: http://peterwhite.com/pwweb84.htm There are lots of links to equipment manufacturers pages if you need to glean any further info. Another page of interest - A sub-page of the Caravan Of Dreams page in the discography - features a story by Amber DiLena (co-writer of "Just Another Day" with PW) on what it's like to write music with Peter, and also some really great photos by Lori Stoll from the album cover shoot. An added bonus is a couple of radio station promo single covers. The direct URL is: http://peterwhite.com/pwweb82.htm An expected addition to this page will be a Columbia Records ad from the Gavin Report - announcing the release of the radio station single "Just Another Day" (featuring vocals by Basia) - The photo is great, Peter is casually seated on the floor next to some equipment cases and a framed photo of Basia. (I am just waiting on the mail to receive my copy of this ad) Also there are some newly added tour dates for Peter (and the Guitars, Saxes & More tour). Direct URL to the tour page is: http://peterwhite.com/pwweb5.htm The discography page has a few new items. URL: http://peterwhite.com/pwweb3.htm An URL of interest to record collectors: http://www.krause.com/goldmine/ YES this is the Goldmine music collector magazine! They are new online, and they are definitely worth the look... Well, that's about all the news that's fit to holler! :) TTFN! - --Di. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper. -Eden Phillpotts ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Mar 1997 15:39:54 EST From: rsystem2@juno.com Subject: Bristol-Myers-Squibbs commercial I don't know if this commercial is getting national airplay or not (I've only seen it on WATL, a local station). It's like a public service announcement but it's paid for by Bristol-Myers-Squibbs (they're in the insurance business or the healthcare business or something). It's urging people to get their free booklet on LOWERING YOUR CHOLESTEROL LEVEL and it shows a kid painting a picture while her mother looks on. The mother kinda looks like Basia. And a little like Tracy Bonham (which reminds me, Tracy Bonham looks a little like Basia). Of course, I know it's not really Basia (obviously) but I notice the similariy every time I see this commercial (I watch Seinfield in syndication every night and this commercial has been airing twice during each episode for the past couple of months). Just thought I'd mention it. I know it's kinda stupid but I don't really know anyone who also likes Basia and you guys are the only people I can say this to and possibly keep a straight face (or not ask "Who the heck is Basia?"). Woo hoo... P & S, Jeff ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V2 #44 **************************
