To derive the time in Japan from EST (Eastern Standard Time - USA), just add 14 hours. (I'm pretty sure of that, but if I'm wrong, someone will correct me - i hope) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Feb 1997 17:57:23 -0800 From: "Diane F. Fisli" Subject: basia .wav's (by popular demand) For the listening pleasure of IRC'ers everywhere (but mainly in #basia!) I have fiddled around and come up with some Basia soundbytes. They will be available for dcc'ing during the live IRC chat Wednesday. Here's a list: b4get.wav Size:308758 bahyah.wav Size:256618 bbaby.wav Size:905598 bbasha.wav Size:176458 bcontag.wav Size:1411258 bdomdaa.wav Size:1146658 bdothat.wav Size:119630 benjoyed.wav Size:203270 bgmorn.wav Size:95522 bgood.wav Size:116134 bhahaa.wav Size:485158 bheloagn.wav Size:837958 bhowbeau.wav Size:139758 binme.wav Size:254794 bintro.wav Size:2825418 blaff1.wav Size:169894 blaff2.wav Size:117614 blaff3.wav Size:132278 blove.wav Size:944354 blovnu.wav Size:660610 bnono.wav Size:93506 bnvrfelt.wav Size:705658 bopenup.wav Size:1391346 bpleasur.wav Size:690922 bsolong.wav Size:429730 btimntid.wav Size:4233658 bvromant.wav Size:264658 bwait4u.wav Size:1905126 bwaiting.wav Size:1014358 bwell.wav Size:107210 bwhoahha.wav Size:529258 bwhtevr.wav Size:137526 byehyeah.wav Size:162098 Size is in bytes. More details available during the chat. Some are songbytes, some are Basia talking (or laughing) during an interview. Most came from the "A New Day" video. These are in the .wav format which is used in Windows for event sounds. I am also going to try to work up a few color .bmp's for Windows people who would like to have Basia on their wallpaper. Mac people, let me know (privately) if there is a preferred format for soundbytes or wallpaper so I can try to make something up for you! :) If anybody can't make it to the chat, but would still like some of these, let me know and I will try to help. Please note that there are approximately 22mb here, so if you want 'em all, remember that you will have to wait to download them from 33 separate e-mails and *I* will have to wait to upload them! An easier way to transfer all of these is to arrange to meet somewhere on IRC (if you can, and at whatever arranged time) and I'll dcc them. A word of caution: I do not claim to be a recording wizard, nor do I probably have the best ways of recording... So if these soundfiles aren't the greatest thing you've ever heard, you're probably right! (HA!) At least we're speaking the same language here... : ) see ya wednesday nite - i'll bring the milk and cookies #basia on irc.stealth.net BTW - I went to Oxford Books today with only enough money to buy the latest copy of Billboard magazine...So of course, they magically had the LWNY/T&T combo transcriptions. Only the book wasn't called Best of 2Albums or whatever someone said it was called - it was called "Time And Time And London Warsaw New York" and was basically just both books within one binding. So are there two different editions of this or what? Just curious... I'll be getting it really soon - probably tomorrow.
