I'm curious if the songs such as "Waters of March" will appear on the album she is preparing. One other item I want to reply to, J.S. So, there's a >quasi-answer. My belief is that the "Epic" label actually started out as "Portrait", and CBS (the owners of the label before they sold it to Sony) renamed the label around '86 or '87 from Portrait to Epic. There were many releases with the "Epic" name before Sony bought CBS's record industry. I have the releases of Sade, another artist who released albums with the label, and her first 2 albums wer on the "Portrait" label. Her 3rd album was on the "Epic" label. All three were manufactured by the same company, CBS. It looks like Basoaia's above-mentioned releases probably came before this name change, and then "Portrait" became "Epic" before "Time and Tide" hit the U.S. market. Hope this helps! A) For a tribute album B) For a "Best Remixes, Vol. III" Japan-only type release. >It is out there.....just not available to us! Yes, it is, but its in the form of the "Angels Blush" CD single. I'll bet hard currency that the original "Water of March" CD was simply the "Angels Blush" CD in another form. ITS NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEN A FULL FLEDGED ALBUM. Ask yourself - if it WAS a full-fledged album, who played guitar on it, cause it sure as hell wasn't Peter White! If I remember correctly, Diane asked Peter awhile back if he knew anything about a "Water of March" album and he said something to the effect that it wasn't an album, but instead it was only one track that he did some brief work on. I'm sure that "Water of March" simply started off as a Japanese EP and was just never released. Then when it came time for the holiday season, someone at Sony Japan came up with the bright idea of repackaging the original EP, turning it into the "Angels Blush" CD single/EP. Everything should be answered within the next few days. My copy of the "Angels Blush" CD single/EP should be here any day now. The wait is almost over. Toodles! JSL. That's right - 1998 is lurking just a short 362 days away from now. She either has to have an album out by December 31st, 1997 or wait until 1999 to prove me wrong. I'll make bets - any takers? ;) >My belief is that the "Epic" label actually started out as "Portrait", >and CBS (the owners of the label before they sold it to Sony) renamed the >label around '86 or '87 from Portrait to Epic. Can't think of any specific artists or albums offhand to use as an example, except maybe for Michael Jackson. If I remember correctly, "Thriller" was on the Epic label, and that was released back in, what, 1983? >I have the releases of Sade, another artist who released albums with >the label, and her first 2 albums wer on the "Portrait" label.
