I've been listening to it for years and have only just = noticed that, although there are 11 SONGS on it, there are only 10 = TRACKS; the final TRACK contains both "Miles Away" and "Forgive and = Forget" and clocks in at 07:25!. There's no mention of "Forgive and = Forget" printed on either the sleeve or the disc. =80First of all, is this the same with all the releases of this cd, = or do some of them 'read' 11 TRACKS? =80Secondly, are there any Australian members on the list? The reason = I ask is that I have an Australian print of the album and was = wiondering where this fits into the scheme of things (I notice the = various "Discographies" on the 'Net generally only list European, = American and Japanese releases). =80Thirdly, my copy of "Time and Tide" is on the "Portrait" label, = and the catalogue number is 450263 9, the same as the Epic releases. = Anyone got the dirt on "Portrait" and where they fit into the Basia = picture? I am extremely interested in discussing the finer details of Basia = collecting with anyone who's interested, so please feel free to drop = me a line. Don't know for sure, but I think "Portrait" is a foreign (aka NON-U.S.) equivalent of Epic. I've got a French 7" for "Promises" that's on the Portrait label - it seems that any pre-Sony buyout Basia stuff outside of the US/UK/JAPAN domain appears on the Portrait label. So, there's a quasi-answer. Toodles! JSL. ========================================================================== Coming January 3rd - The All-New Agitprop Homepage! I own a copy of 'Time and Tide', bought in Madrid three years ago or so. It comes from Epic, the code is EPC 450263 2. It seems a low-price re-print or something, and states explicitly in the front cover: 'Features bonus track'. The booklet only displays a catalogue of 'Nice price' CD series, but the track list is clear enough (Miles away, 4:08, Forgive and forget, 3:10), and the CD reads like that. So you have here at least one edition with the right tracking. Hope this helps. - -- Juan David Gonzalez Cobas ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 30 Dec 1996 09:45:08 -0800 From: Robert Merchant Subject: RE: Angels Blush I'm glad someone has heard it. Wowser. Hope you did, too. Altho I don't likre the accelarated clipped renditions necesitated by the 60 minute format, I did appreciate their work. The last great pop male-piano/female-vocalist combo prior to our own Danny/Basia, if I have to come out and say it publicly. HOWEVER: Burt and Di (sorry, it just came out that way) are going to go down in history as a success, whereas D & B have probably blown it. The AMC hook was the movie connection (tho the producers are extremely generous re the duos' historical amalgam) and this could be a critical element. If there were a cinematic link there might be fame. Mabey. If you have the opportunity to see this special (AMC deserves humongous kudos for this production) you will be well rewarded. Not very explicitly. As I told you, it is a Sony/Epic "NICE PRICE" release, so I am not sure whether the booklet notes are a literal copy of a former pressing or more reliable than that. The booklet plainly says: "original sound recording by Sony Music Entertainment (UK) limited". It is the owner of the copyright of the songs too. As to the CD, it explicitly mentions 'Made in Austria'. These are the ONLY (geographical) references I could find in it. I hope this information will be helpful. - -- Juan David Gonzalez Cobas ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 01 Jan 1997 20:31:36 MET From: "Stephane" Subject: Songs' Scores Hello everybody, I am looking for on Internet the music score of Basia's songs.
