Look at the nose and the expressions around her mouth... The only problem is, considering when this happened, she doesn't look as emaciated as I would expect. She looks downright chubby-cheeked in some of the shots. Maybe getting the gig brought in enough money to make a huge batch of bigos ;) Dennis - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dennis J. Of course, our local "Smooth Jazz" station is hosting it and making it a real challenge to score tickets. Am I dreaming to think that Basia would show up to sing "Just another day"? (Yeah, yeah... I know.) - -Robert ------------------------------ From: roach2@juno.com (J.S. Lohr) Date: Wed, 06 Nov 1996 16:44:53 EST Subject: Re: yada yada yada On Wed, 6 Nov 1996 07:20:55 +0000 "Dennis J. Maybe getting the gig brought in >enough money to make a huge batch of bigos ;) You know, I must agree with Dennis - there was a shot of the entire band at the end of the performance and it was kinda hard to tell, but the guitarist did look a bit big. Again, though, it was kinda hard to tell from such a distance. Still, the oldest pic I have of Basia, barring of course that childhood picture which appeared in the '94 tour program :) - oh, and that Alibabki pic, is off of the first Matt Bianco 7" - she didn't look fat, but she certainly didn't appear malnourished either. Still, we'll probably never know if its her or not. If it isn't, then its a pretty damn close look alike. Toodles! In part two of the FAQ at http://wwwspace.co.uk/andrew/Comedy/YoungOne2.html, he claims to have designed it "for 'the anal retentive' who wants to know everything there ever was to know about The Young Ones." Guess we can try to hold him to that, eh? If anyone would like to ask him, he lists his e-mail address as brit-com@pobox.com. If he doesn't know, maybe he can make it his personal mission to find out. :-) Mark Lipawen, Random Yahoo 3400 Central Expressway, Suite 201 `--------->adbivium@yahoo.com Santa Clara, CA 95051 ------------------------------ From: Robert Burns Date: Wed, 6 Nov 1996 20:15:59 -0600 (CST) Subject: Question for Diane Well, we've decided we're going to jump through the hoops to get the tickets (essentially a wild goose chase through milwaukee to donate foor to a local shelter in exchange for tix). Here's my big question: My son Arik is a beginning guitarist, and he has a half-sized Ovation similar to the one I've seen Peter play. Arik's hardest tune he is learning is "From now on" - he's a big fan of Peter. Would Peter sign Arik's guitar if he brought it to the show? It's a small (300 people) show. If so, can you (Diane) but the word in Peter's ear to look for an eight year old boy with a guitar and a sharpie? Thanks much, - -Robert ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V1 #275 ***************************
