Its definitely different. A lot of people will tell you that they didn't like it for this reason, but - we all have different opinions. Its a much more "mature" album... try it, you should at least LIKE it. Toodles! JSL. ------------------------------ From: roach2@juno.com (J.S. Lohr) Date: Thu, 10 Oct 1996 03:59:19 EDT Subject: Good news for Netscape users... Ok, here's the deal: We believe we've remedied the problem Netscape users have been having with the new homepage. Apparently, old (and I stress OLD) versions of Netscape were behaving badly because we weren't putting a height and width measurement in the document... most GOOD browsers (like the Microsoft Internet Explorer and even later versions of Netscape (ie version 3.0)) didn't have a problem with this but you know me... I can't sleep until I know everyone is happy. Now, we don't know for sure that we've remedied the problem because there's no way for us to check - it'd always worked with Netscape version 3.0 and version 1.0 is next to impossible to find a copy of on the internet because its so OLD (and I stress OLD). So, if you're still having a problem, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!! The Pictures section has been fixed, too, so you stubborn people who are still using an ANCIENT (and I stress ANCIENT) version of Netscape should now have no problem keeping up with the rest of us. BTW, when you visit the page, you may want to hit the "reload" (or a comparable) button to get the new changes; otherwise, your computer may pull the old page (the one that didn't work) design out of your cache. That should just about cover it. Thanks for your patience everybody! Toodles! I had just purchased Peter White's "Caravan of Dreams" CD last night, checking to see how Basia's vocal on "Just Another Day" was. I was in a store where they offered a chance to listen to the music before you buy it, and I was hooked into buying it just 15 seconds into the first track! I listened to it all last night, and liked it all, including Basia's work. (It looks like Diane has got me hooked to another artist! It helps that I also like other guitar artists, like Acoustic Alchemy and Chet Atkins.) I'm curious if Basia has appeared on any other albums, either as a backup or lead singer, other than her own albums and her backup work with Matt Bianco. It looks like J.S. Lohr, in a previous posting, has already given me one item: > c) David Cassidy's "Romance," featuring Basia on backing vocals >(ie what she was referring to in her bio in the last concert program when >she mentioned singing backing vocals on David Cassidy's record). A couple of other notes... To David Gallagher, concerning her 3rd CD: I agree that "The Sweetest Illusion" is quite a bit different from her first two releases, but if you are a fan of much of the lighter jazz that is around, you should like it just as much as the other two. I know I do! Also to Diane or anyone else at the Peter White website: I could not get my web browser to go to peterwhite.com! It would sit idle for a couple of minutes, then give me "Host not found". Could you check and see if the site is working okay? (The internet site at our company is not the best, so that might be a culprit, also.) That's all for now! Thanks!
