Re: I promise... JSL Basia site Netscape users... Re: Netscape users... new subscriber ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: roach2@juno.com (J.S. Lohr) Date: Wed, 09 Oct 1996 04:10:48 EDT Subject: I promise... ...that I'll eventually shut up about the homepage, but let me take care of these last few things before I do: 1)All the pics that I'd planned to put up are up. There are twenty five in all now, including the new video captures I've done. I would've done more, most notably from the videos from London Warsaw New York, but whomever directed those videos apparently was a fan of soft-focus camera shots and all the pics of Basia come out looking terrible (she looks like a white ghost with no nose). As soon as I get to a real scanner, I'm sure I'll be able to put more up. 2) My idea for the rare sound files has gone over as I'd expected, so I added the following two .wavs: a) a clip from the Phil's Gas Station Mix of "Third Time Lucky" b) track 21 from "The Sweetest Interview" and sometime tomorrow evening, I'm going to add: c) David Cassidy's "Romance," featuring Basia on backing vocals (ie what she was referring to in her bio in the last concert program when she mentioned singing backing vocals on David Cassidy's record). That'll do it for the sound files for the moment. I threw around the idea of putting up a clip or two from the Blue Rondo a la Turk singles I've got, but I think those would be more appropriate on a Matt Bianco (or possibly a non-existent Danny White) homepage. That'll do it for now, I think. Toodles! JSL. ------------------------------ From: dleuty@Onramp.NET (Don Leuty) Date: Wed, 09 Oct 96 13:05:41 GMT Subject: Re: I promise... Keep on keepin' on, Roach. Ok, I cleaned up a few things in the HTML (thanks, Ben) programming that might've (though probably didn't) been causing problems with your Netscape browser with the new Basia page. Try it again today (after you receive this message of course) to let me know if its working for you guys or not... if not, I'm probably going to have to just add a few things to the mapping commands... Thanks guys! JSL. ------------------------------ From: jmf@tigernet.net Date: Wed, 09 Oct 1996 17:33:43 -0400 Subject: Re: Netscape users... J.S. Roach, for those of us on another planet, could you please post the address for the new Basia page? Thanks! This has probably been discussed many times, but... I have the first two of Basia's cd's, and I'm wondering how the 3rd (studio) one is in comparison. Any reviews for me?
