I heard "Drunk on Love" maybe twice >on my favorite adult-contemporary station. > > A brand-new jazz station down here (in Atlanta) called WJZY (I think) played "Third Time Lucky" about a week after they came on the air (sometime in '94). I was so impressed that I purchased TSI (having never heard Basia before in my life), and after falling in love with that album, purchased T&T and LWNY, and I doubt everyone is this way but I like EVERY SINGLE SONG on all three of those albums! WJZY still plays "Drunk On Love" and "Third Time Lucky" once or twice a week, but unfortunately they are starting to lean more towards playing Luther Vandross all day. Ugh. The "real" jazz station down here (WCLK) is great, but they never play Basia. WSTR plays 2 Unlimited and Ace of Base all day. WSB plays Mariah Carey (who I love, but too much is too much) and Hootie all day; WNNX plays Duran Duran and Oasis all day; and WVEE plays Luther Vandross and Boyz II Women all day. Wow, two Luther Vandross stations. Anyway, I thought I'd share that with you guys. So know you know how I came to like Basia so bloody much and you know why I hate the Atlanta radio scene so bloody much. Now if anyone knows who sells the sheet music to LWNY, please tell me - I've got the sheet music to T&T and TSI, but nobody around here sells LWNY and three different people have told me that they can't get it (out of print). Help! Jeff, a brand new Basia fan P.S. Can anybody tell me why Peter White looks so upset on the back cover of LWNY? I can't figure that one out. ------------------------------ End of basia-digest V1 #136 ***************************
