Okie dokie...here are some of my personal suggestions for Basia sound-alikes: First, there's always Swing Out Sister...in my opinion, the resemblance on certain songs is quite uncanny. They tend to be a little more "pop"py than Basia but, sound-wise, they are close cousins. Post-WSAYO Matt Bianco albums also share a lot of similarities with early Basia stuff. On a more abstract level, there's always Julia Fordham; and a lot of people on this list will tell you that Astrud Gilberto is a safe bet but I tend to shy away from the hardcore stuff.
