Thank you, > Joel Joel, I can understand your dilemma - it does get a bit boring in here, but what else is there to talk about when we're dealing with an artist who is, well, let's face it: lazy. Granted, you can split hairs and give the benefit of the doubt and use words like "perfectionist" or "fickle" or I don't know what, but its comes down to this: she's not exactly Speedy Gonzales when it comes to making an album. Now, you're not necessarily sounding rigid but I do think you need to have a little bit more patience...we're trying to lead to something with these messages - hopefully, before long, everyone who wants it will be able to get a copy of tv performances and appearances that were more or less, until now, unavailable to them. I'm sure that everybody would be more than happy to discuss album release information or touring schedules but there seems to be a minor hiccup in those topics, that being, there is no album release information and there are no scheduled performance dates as of yet. Its sad, I know, but its the price one must pay for good music. And remember, Joel - apathy isn't an excuse, its a cause. If you don't like what we're talking about, post a new topic. Anything at the very least would be better than just watching me run my mouth. ;) Bottom line - - we're human. We're bored. And we have to wait just the same as you do, so sit back, have a Coke, and try to bear with us. Peace. If you're looking for, say, GMA performances or those old T&T performances from Carson or Letterman then I guess you're SOL - you're going to have to go to someone else to get them. I'd really love to see this thing get organized but the routine is slowly becoming more and more complex and I can't imagine all these tapes going from location to location and back again without having SOMETHING become lost in the mail. I mean, if we want a truly complete edit we're talking about 4-6 different people sending their originals to one person and then having them go back again.... Anyway, if you want a tape, keep mailing me... I'll post the routine in a couple weeks of how to go about getting one. Toodles! Jeff wanted a set procedure for the video, so here it is. I will set up a video web page at http://www.yak.net/basia/video.html On this page I will put each originator of material along with the tapes he or she is contributing. I volunteer to serve as editor of the video. I can accept footage in 3/4", VHS, SVHS, 8mm, and Hi8 formats. I will dub everything to 3/4" then edit it together using my dual decks. For duplication, I will be able to send a 3/4", SVHS, or VHS copy to anyone. Best results will be dubs off my 3/4" master. I so have video overlay capabilities on my laptop and at ACTV, so the clips will all be titles with song name and date. I will pay return shipping on any item. Please send me an e-mail with a manifest and send the items to Ben Combee 300 E Riverside Apt 220 Austin TX 78704-1303 I will update the web page with info including package tracking. Lets do this! Your English is outstanding, Vic, and I encourage you to continue to use it regularly.....I know from experience that once you have command of a second language, (or a first langu age, for that matter) never stop using it or it will be gone. Meanwhile, back at the ranch..... I guess I based my query (ignorant though I am of the management of Basia, regardless the number of times I have heard Dee Anthony's name mentioned here...) regarding her citation of her lawyer, someone named Brian Carr, on my impression that it was a unique occurrence in the world of album liner notes. I mean, the guy might as well be mentioned as 'our caterer', and I would have had the same response: That is very unusual, and I do not recall seeing the artist's caterer listed in liner credits on other albums, but it is something I would have understood since lunch could easily make or break a collaborative effort.....However, since he is Basia's lawyer, he must have had something to do with the production of the album in the legal sense, and I suppose that is what intrigues me, as I don't think having a lawyer around on a regular basis would augment productivity. Unless he played bass, or something. But he is not listed among the musicians, so, it is a difficult thing for me to imagine her need to give him liner space. I just wonder about that sort of thing, sometimes, (but, thankfully, not too often. Or do I?...).....
