I have something to add. Maybe y'all have heard about this already, and maybe it's just a joke, but I work for the Post Office and this came all the way down from HQ in Washington... stopped at every supervisor along the way (do you know how many Postal Supervisors there ARE in America? Damn.. .where's my gun? ;-)... and they were told to *NOT* download a PKZIP300.zip file from the internet, or anywhere else. They said it could be under a different name, but it's 'advertised' as the new PK-UNZIP - the 300 version. And it (the company email... yes, the PO uses email [gasp!]) said that the file contains a new kind of Trojan Horse virus and that there's not a way to 'fix' it yet... and you'll lose everything on your hard drive, blah, blah, blah. Like I said, it could just be a joke, but since it came from Washington, I intend to ignore any PKZIP300 files I might happen to see. Ya never can be too careful. ;-) Jacki ------------------------------ From: ExcusezMoi@aol.com Date: Fri, 12 Apr 1996 04:59:46 -0400 Subject: It's official! This site will not be operative for approximately two weeks yet, but Peter just made final arrangements to have PacificNet (Dave Pennel's webserver) host his site. I am busily tying up loose ends of the html & photos & other stuff... What a job, what an education! Of course we will have a link to the Basia ML website! :) Thanks to all who offered assistance, suggestions, and input, particularly to Suzy Cline and Mark Arbogast! I guess I'll have to Banzai it, unless I can get CDE to try again. - -- Benjamin L.
