The "Antonio Carlos Joabim Songbook" came out a few years ago on Verve. It's a collection of his songs by various artists, including a few by Astrud. Of course, this would not stop Basia fans from buying the CD, but Sony obviously doesn't think like a true Basia fan. While I'm on the subject of Japanese CDs, you Swing Out Sister fans might be interested in knowing that the "Best of SOS" CD is now available from Japan. Don't get too excited, however. The only new song on the CD, "Heavenly Only Knows," is even more boring than their rendition of "La La Means I Love You." The "Best of" CD is supposed to be released in the U.S. by the end of the year. ------------------------------ From: "J.S. Unless, contractually, she was unable to do it. > Of course, this would not stop Basia fans from buying the CD Frankly, I don't know about that one. If Sony is, indeed, not releasing WOM here because of BOB's lousy sales then I don't blame them as much for their descision...the fan base has probably become too unreliable in their eyes, and I can't really hold that against them. > Sony obviously doesn't think like a true Basia fan. Sony doesn't think...Sony just acts like a dog in heat. Toodles! P.S. - I'm still waiting to hear from those who bought lithographs...I REALLY need to talk to you guys!
