Last year I heard a song by Basia on the radio and it became my favorite. That song was "Drunken Love". I don't know much about her actually. I have only "Sweetest Illusion". Her songs are sometimes on the radio and some beginning parts have been used as theme songs on some radio programs, for example "Third Time Lucky". Anyway, I have a question today. I heard that she was a professor or something before a singer. Since I heard about this, I have felt some intelligence from her songs. Is it true that she was a teacher? Can anyone tell me who she was before? It's about time! Espexially when we hear so much about how popular Basia is in Japan. Anyway, to answer your question, I have never seen anything in Basia's biographies which would indicate she ever taught. Mabey there is someone else with that name teaching. A while back I ran into a news item dealing with a person named Basia who was a famous model in Poland. I think it is a fairly common name there. But enough about Basia. Let's talk about you and Japan. I am sure you like other artists besides Basia, mabey you'd like to tell us more about this. Also, what ever happened to the guitar playing duo from Japan named Gontiti? I thought they were pretty good. You can also answer this question: Are there stores in Japan that RENT CD's so that customers can make copies, instead of paying a lot more money to buy them? Welcome to the list, Takeshi.
