Dear Basia people, I've been "lurking" for the past half a year now (what a grotty = expression that is), and have been a huge Basia fan since 1990 when I = first heard "baby you're mine". I started prowling the 'net about a = year ago, and have been thrilled to discover web-sites and e-mail = groups dedicated to so many of my favourite performing artists. Thank = you all for being so active in your admiration of Basia; I've learnt = so much about her and Danny this past half year that I now listen to = her music with an elevated appreciation. I hope that I can give as = much to the list as I have taken. Straight off the mark, some questions: =80 I have a copy of the vinyl 12" single of "baby you're mine = (berimbau mix)" with the catalogue number "655582 6", but have read = that there is an identical 12" with the cat. no. "BASHT 6". Are there = two identical 12"s with different catalogue numbers printed on their = sleeves? =80 Can anybody enlighten me as to what the 'sub catalogue number' = represents on a lot of records/cds? By this I mean, if I take a look = at the "cruising for bruising (extended mix)" 12" for example, the = number (in smaller type) "MX253553" sitting under the larger "655820 = 6". I have a 2000+ record collection , but am only now beginning to = get interested in the fine details of collecting; I'm curious to hear = any responses. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
