Subject: ADMIN: Smoe.org downtime

Greetings!

I will be taking advantage of a long Christmas vacation to
upgrade the hardware and operating system on one of the machines
that supports smoe.org.

This means that mail deivery to and from smoe.org will be spotty,
and the system that handles mail may be down for 1 or 2 days 
during the upgrade (from Dec. 27 to Jan 1). 

So, if you send mail to the list and you don't see it come back
to you right away, or if you don't see mail from the list for a
few days, don't panic. Also, please don't send multiple copies of
your messages.

I will send out an announcement after the upgrade is complete and
things have stabilized.

If you have a need to contact me during the downtime, please
email me at jeffw@shore.net.
