I have a CD "Basia On Broadway where she performs this song. I could try to translate from listening to the song, but I'm afraid I might miss some words.) If you have the lyrics, send them to me and I will give it a try. There also two songs with polish lyrics on "The Sweetest Illusion", one is on 'yearning' and the other on 'an olive tree', so if you need them translated please let me know. BTW I'm working on my home page, which will include the page for Basia. I will have some pictures there from her "The Sweetest Illusion" CD promotion in Hollywood Wherehouse store. At this time I have only 7 pictures scanned with 6 more to go, so when I finish I will announce if anyone wants to visit my home page and see those pictures. do widazenia Zbigniew (good bye) P.S. Dennis in our language we usually do not say 'dzien dobry' when we mean to say good bye. Dzien dobry is a greating when you want to greet someone when you come in contact with them and if you want to say good bye you use 'do widzenia'. +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ ...we try to solve the problem by rushing through the design process so that enough time will be left at the end of the project to uncover errors that were made because we rushed through the design process....... As I remember the Pink Floyd was slow coming with their albums, but the music was really great. I rather wait for an album longer then get one that is badly created just to put something out every year. Patience is a virtue and the longer you wait the better it gets (just like wine). bye Zbigniew +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ ...we try to solve the problem by rushing through the design process so that enough time will be left at the end of the project to uncover errors that were made because we rushed through the design process....... Mmmph... HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!! Er, sorry. > As I remember the Pink Floyd was slow > coming with their albums, but the music was really great. If you're referring to that "thing" they released in '94 and the fact that it'd been 7 some years inbetween "that" and "Momentary Lapse Of Reason," that's a totally different situation. First of all, that's not really Pink Floyd - the REAL Pink Floyd disbanded in 1983 but that's an arguement for another mailing list. Pink Floyd in their prime (which, in my opinion, was from '72-'79) had five albums out in seven years (Meddle [1972], Dark Side of the Moon [1972], Wish You Were Here [1975], Animals [1977], and The Wall [1979]). Pink Floyd was slow with THE DIVISION BELL, but, as I mentioned before, that wasn't really Pink Floyd. > I rather wait > for an album longer then get one that is badly created just to put > something out every year. Patience is a virtue and the longer you wait the > better it gets (just like wine). That's not necessarily true. Plus, I don't think we're disputing the QUALITY of a release as much as we're venting steam over the TYPICAL amount of time it takes for Basia and Danny to complete an album. In actuality, apparently NO ONE is rushing Basia and Danny through this project, and that may be part of the problem. Its obvious the record company doesn't give a damn, and as for Dee Anthony, well, who can ever really tell? This is the guy who said the album would be done by this fall. Hell-o... what's wrong with this picture? Cmon! We're fans, first and foremost. We're SUPPOSED to complain about things like this. Its our job. Toodles!
