I play Basia on my CD player into my CD transmitter, and proceed to listen on various radios all over the house. All of Basia's music sounds great, stereo or mono. - -- Dan Meyer Warped and doing more! //--- forwarded letter - ------------------------------------------------------- > MIME-Version: 1.0 > Date: Sat, 31 Aug 96 11:25:49 -0500 > From: "Robert Burns" > To: basia@smoe.org > Reply-To: basia@smoe.org > Subject: Basia radio play > > > > Here in Milwaukee we've made a huge shift in radio stations from a > pop/rock only city to one where we now have two major stations carrying > the "Smooth FM" package. > > I was talking to one thier DJ's the other morning and asked why more Basia > isn't played. For some odd reason my original e-mail got bounced back to me as "undeliverable"... Foolish me, I actually *believed* the server was right and that they hadn't been delivered... So I sent them again... Many apologies... Many apologies... :) I think that radio DJ was giving us a snow-job... I have played B. on a mono device at times (a cheap portable tape player) and have never heard any weird or "off" recordings... Interesting that radio is playing the heck out of Peter's "Just Another Day" with Basia on vocal... It isn't even the single... Just goes to show that not everybody on the radio follows the wishes of the programmer or the label... :) I hope Roach is going to make his entrance (probably with much hoo-ha!) here again soon!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Diane F. Just goes to show that Have not heard it even once around here. HOWEVER, I did hear some MattB a week or so ago (Buddy Love - the Reprise, from ATAP) which was pretty amazing. I was stunned to read in last Thursday's Boston Globe Calendar that PW was performing in Copley Plaza that very day at 5.30 pm, and a freebie to boot! Naturally, I was reading this bit 'o info at 6 pm. Much gnashing of teeth, etc. I should have been tipped off by an earlier posting regarding a similar event in NYC a few days earlier. Stupid. > > I hope Roach is going to make his entrance (probably with much hoo-ha!) here > again soon!!! The guy must have really been banged up, given the length of time incarcerated. I'll bet there are a few nurses in Annapolis wishing they had gotten into real estate or somethin after this experience!
