She is from Belgium and makes the most adorable music. Her voice is a little softer than Basia's voice but when it comes to the latino influences she is just as good.. Albums to recommend is En Cavale and Hoping for love, both from the 80's.. She has done quite a few albums but these are the best, in my opinion... The label is Les Disques du crepuscule I guarantee you, if you love Basia, you'll love this :-) Linda ------------------------------ From: Philip B Hall Date: Mon, 5 Aug 1996 23:09:38 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Re: Basia & Incognito On Tue, 6 Aug 1996, Linda Lillimaegi wrote: > > > does any one know any music artists that have the same style as basia > > especially the latino sound...any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. > > > > Listen to Isabelle Antena. To me it signifies the Chimney Swallow, which as twilight approaches becomes very active. > > I guarantee you, if you love Basia, you'll love this :-) > OK, I'm game. Where does ALL speculation originate, Jeff? A bit of desperation, a jigger of hope, hey, if you prefer - a vial of crack (tho I think if you knew me better you'd attribute it to a rack of pounders). What's the difference? Besides, I've agreed with you all along - St. B's career is careening along like a 5 mph collision: when it happens, it grabs your attention, but when you get out and look it over, there ain't a lot to it. I think she oughta step on the gas and do some real damage. We're all waitin for it to happen, and as soon as SOMEONE or SOMETHING gets out of her way, mabey she'll meet everyone's expectations - or surpass them.
