I dunno... Maybe if Peter has more to do with working on Basia's music than before... I still think the two White brothers have different styles, musically. >BTW - our own Diane Filsi has her name listed in the "special thanks/moral >support" column so: bravo, Diane! *Fisli* F - as in Frank, I - S - as in Sue, L - I... Fisli... (*sigh!*) Maybe I should change it to Fitzleigh (no, I'm not Irish. I'm not Italian, either. The name is Hungarian, if anyone is more curious than I) (never!!!) (HEH!) >Can't anyone ever get anything right? ;) Good question, Raoch... (nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!) Thanks, by the way... I did rather like the mention under "moral support", tho I think he actually meant something more in the "technical" nature of support, what with the website and all. Not that I think the distinction matters, but I'm rather amoral, usually... (heh!) ;) Speaking of typos, there's a typo in the notes of the listing of who played what instrument on which tune (no, not a name)... Anyone catch this??? (Peter did, but not in time for it to be corrected!) (I helped him do the liner notes, and it came from *me* spelled correctly!) Glad this album is out... Come visit the website! I've interlaced some of the graphics so the load time is not quite as laborious as previously experienced (the reason I hadn't done it before was because the only program I had to do gif89a's made for really crappy-looking photos - I have a better program now). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ Diane F. I have been putting in fourteen hour days this week (there's no slow time for sports programmers), and haven't had the chance to pick it up until this evening. The album was worth the wait, kids. For those of you who have it, listen to the whole thing. It's really a gem. I am approaching this as a Peter White fan first. The Basia track was just so much icing on the cake. The CD is wonderful. When I put it in the player, I went to cut 6 first, of course, and intended to skim through the rest and give it a good listen later. But I wound up staying with the whole thing. The last 5 tracks just seem to flow together so well - it was goose bump time. Just Another Day evokes such a mood! Basia's warm voice, wrapped with Peter's elegant guitar work makes it a great track. You are right, Roach, I could imagine Danny's piano in it, but taken as it is, its just perfect. Bottom line is that Peter is a hell of a talent, also. I've enjoyed the evolution of his writing abilities over the years. What a powerful list of talent that he acknowledges in the notes. There are some really top flight names in there. If you're not familiar with these people, it's worth exploring their work. They are some of the best. Congrats to you, Di. It's neat to be able to say that I (sort of) know someone mentioned on a worldwide release! BTW, what's up with the typeface? My old eyes had a time reading it. :) Speaking of typos, I couldn't find what you were referring to, but I did notice that Fayyaz ("go Fizz") Virji's name was misspelled. The notes have it as Virgi. Hey, how about a PW mail list? Love it, glad I bought it, all you folks should do the same. Den - ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dennis J.
