That photo *isn't* Marc Almond??? Okay, I see Coles' name on the song credits, but that guy in the photo *has* to be Marc Almond. If it's not, well, my mistake, but boy, Richard Coles looks an awful lot like Marc Almond. Heck, and here I was thinking that it was really cool that these two guys got together to do some really great music... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~ Diane F. While I'm not particularly a fan of remixes, it's always interesting to hear a different version, or instrumental of a familiar song. The CD is extremely well produced. From the superb audio quality (much brighter and cleaner) to the photos (the cover and the green tinted picture opposite the "Run For Cover" lyrics blow me away - what a doll!), and even the choice of typefaces and backgrounds for the printed insert - it all points to the care and thought that went into this product. (Pardon my gushing but I feel so far behind some of you when it comes to hearing some of this stuff that apparently has been out for some time.) I also received my second "Drunk On Love" promo. It's interesting how similar the two are. The inserts are nearly identical, and the content is close. Why put out two? Apparently one was released before TSI, the other after. The wording is curious: "all tracks taken from the forthcoming album 'The Sweetest Illusion'". But not really. It contains the edited version as well as the instrumental version of "Drunk On Love" - neither of which appears on TSI. Anyone know the background on these? I left a slot open in my CD rack for WOM. Actually, what you got was the Austrian version of BEST REMIXES VOL. I. The original Japanese release (which is almost exactly the same with the noted exception of the pretty gold-leaf lettering which is absent on the cover of the Austrian version) has become really hard to find (at least, in this area). But beside the gold-leaf lettering part and the fact that the back photo on the Austrian CD is a lower DPI than the Japanese one (don't know why), the two are identical. > I also received my second "Drunk On Love" promo. Actually, it wasn't a promo...it was the Austrian/UK CD single. This one is pretty generic, too - the U.S. promo, Japanese CD Single, and Austrian/UK CD Single are all the same, with the red cover and the picture of a very (almost disgustingly) thin Basia. > I left a slot open in my CD rack for WOM.
