Try all of them!! Well, granted, there are a few bright points on the album, but it can only induce total misery on someone if they've just had a relationship go bad (hence my suggestion a few months back that there should be a Suicide Warning Label on the front cover) - trust me, "Cruising for Bruising" and break-ups make for a very volatile mix, especially if there's a handgun lying around. Y'know, while writing this, I was glancing over my LWNY CD case and - Danny does look pretty ticked. Never really paid much attention before - my only hangup with the LWNY case has been in trying to explain to people who see the CD in my collection why there are two different people pictured on what's supposed to be a solo artist's CD. I wonder why Basia and Danny didn't just portray themselves as a duo, ala Everything But the Girl, seeing as how they both contribute a seemingly equal amount of work. Just about everybody ordered it from CD Banzai back in February but they haven't come through for us yet. Frankly, I'm starting to think that it hasn't been released yet (if its ever going to be released at all). I think the closest anyone has come to getting it was when Dirk said his local CD shop would have it in "two weeks," and I think that was something like a month and a half ago. Ho, wait a minute... for a complete tape, it was going to take the contributions of something like 5 or 6 different people - so far you've only got three, including yourself. If you try to make a tape after only getting mine and Dennis' footage its going to be incomplete. Now, I have the names of those who've said in the past which performances they have - I can email you with a list, Ben, of those who have things that no one else does so we can talk smack about them and perhaps rouse their monkey cages in a private manner... ;D Granted, I'm not gonna get picky about a tape listing, but it would be nice to get a hold of the early T&T TV performances and all the GMA performances (HINT HINT - to whomever has them, I know who you are). Plus, a few of the things I have could be better quality wise. For example, Phil sent me a copy of two performances in trade about a year ago (mid-1990 appearances on Letterman and Leno) which are pretty good quality wise but they're also incomplete (for some reason, the interviews on both are cut out - I seem to remember Phil explaining to me something about him getting them from someone else... why that person cut out the interviews just as Basia was about to sit down, I have no idea). The whole point of this was to get a definitive collection. So we need YOUR (that's right...YOU) help!!!! Ben, a little later (if you need it), I'll post a list of performances which you don't have promised yet. That way, we can keep on posting them to the list to make everyone feel guilty and eventually they'll snap and be forced to send you a copy of what you don't have. Toodles!
