Oh, Dennis, PLEASE tell me you're not hoping that this is ANOTHER lackadaisical live CD. I know that that's my own opinion of BOB (that it was a pretty boring CD), but I'm sticking to it. And even if, God forbid, it WERE a bootleg, it would more than likely be WORSE than BOB because: a) the sound quality would be worse because it is, indeed, a BOOTLEG, b) the sound quality would be worse because its a JAPANESE BOOTLEG (the Italians do it best, in my opinion), and c) it would most likely contain the same songs as BOB (with maybe A FEW noted exceptions) and would therefore not be worth anywhere NEAR the price I'm paying for it (some cruddy sounding (sound quality wise) live versions of "Astrud" or "An Olive Tree" or "My Cruel Ways" AIN'T worth $32 in my opinion). But, I'll say it again, emphasizing it with the sound of my head bashing against the wall: IT'S NOT A BOOTLEG!!!!! I suddenly feel like that guy in the original version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" when he's running through the street shouting various pieces of drivel. "It's not a bootleg! Can't you see!?! They're everywhere!" :) I mean, for Christ's sake, its got a Sony catalog number on it! If that isn't proof enough then I don't know what is! > Anyone get it yet? My order went in today, so (and this goes for everyone, not just Dennis) if you want to hold off until I get mine OR someone comes out of hiding and leaves some sort of infuriating message like: "Duhh, I had it all along" then you're now afforded that luxury. > Still, it IS a Basia recording...Someone tell me what to do! (I can > hear you all shouting "Do it, do it!") I'm tellin' ya, its an EP. Its GOT TO be. The only question in my mind is, how MUCH of an EP is it (ie how many unreleased tracks may or may not be on it) and how ticked off am I gonna be when I receive it in the mail. "Duhh - we, like, heard some rumors about it but it must, like, TOTALLY be a bootleg or something like that 'cause, like, why wouldn't they tell us about it? 'Cause, like, we know everything 'cause, like, we're Sony." Can you tell how ticked off I am by all this? :) But its just SO typical. Keep the faith... I meant that before we knew what BOB was, we all had hope again. I'm expecting something _more_ than another live recording or two. I hope to see a few unreleased songs on this one. And that's why I want to order it for myself. Believe me, I've wasted more than $32 in my life! Where's that number...
