I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to some people who probably don't deserve it, but some may not be aware that Pine (a common E-mail reader) chops off the part of the message that Jeff just described...I haven't seen a header like that since I left AOL, so - those wishing to unsubscribe may be missing that part of the message. > In addition, each of you received instructions for unsubscribing > when you subscribed. You're right...they're idiots. Ignore everything I just said. :D Actually, I can sympathize with Juan's plea...I've gone through a similar sitation before (I tried 15 different ways of unsubscribing to the Red Dwarf (a British comedy show) Mailing List before finally succeeding)... and when I tried posting a constructive message to the entire list asking how to unsubscribe, I was met with a lot of bad attitudes and arse holes who didn't hesitate in telling me what to go do with myself. And the ones who DID try to help me out were each giving me false information (bless their idiotic souls). Just trying to be fair...toodles! Just got back from checking the list of CD's available at CD Banzai! and found the following mysterious listing: Basia - Water of March (esca-6352), $32 Its a Japanese import, but its priced as a full fledged LP, NOT as a CD single. Any info anyone might be able to find out on this would, I'm sure, be appreciated. Could this POSSIBLY be a NEW album? Might Basia be pulling a "Gran Via" type deal by not releasing an album here? Gotta run...I'm late for class. Toodles! This is... ============================================================================= Like ohmigod! Roach has a homepage! Lohr" Date: Mon, 19 Feb 1996 22:55:01 -0500 (EST) Subject: Water of March...update Ok, I've just finished checking CD Europe and GEMM (Global Electronic Music Marketplace) and first: I had the catalog ## wrong in the first message. Its "ESCA-6352" which makes it a Japanese pressing. Secondly (and I don't know whether to be happy or ticked off over this next one), CD Europe has "Water of March" listed as a "compact disc album," along with "Time and Tide," "London Warsaw New York," "Sweetest Illusion," and "...Broadway." THIS SUGGESTS (to me, at least) THAT THIS IS A NEW RECORDING _OF SOME KIND_. Now, GEMM lists "Water of March" as a "CDM" - all the others (T&T, LWNY, and so on) are listed only as "CD" and there's no explanation that I can find that explains the difference between the two. Now, if you ask me - is this a new album (i.e. a new 10-12 track recording)? My answer would be "probably not"...I can't believe that Sony/Basia/Dee Anthony would TOTALLY and ARBITRARILY turn their backs on the US fans like that. BUT, if I had to put my money on a specific choice, I would say its an EP of some kind, and the title suggests that there's some new material on it. Actually, if it IS a full-fledged new album then I will be ticked off beyond words. Needless to say, I'm not putting off ordering it (like I have the mysterious "Brand New Single" which is ALSO listed in GEMM as a "CDM") - so, assuming someone somewhere out there doesn't have any info at all about this "thing," I soon (should) will. Checking out...keep the faith. This is... ============================================================================= Like ohmigod! Roach has a homepage!
