Roundabout 1983. Definitely pre-Matt Bianco. Very low budget, too, if you haven't already noticed. > i'm just a poor former music major now earning his keep as a tv news goober. > i'm not a musicologist, so i'm better at playing music than i am at doing > inane rambling about music. Geez, John, I only wanted to know what people thought of the track...did you like it, did you hate it, did you burn your tape in effigy...just curious, that's all, especially for a track that's uncharacteristic of a "Basia" sound. Toodles! This is... ============================================================================= Like ohmigod! Roach has a homepage! I didn't care for it at all. All too strange. Not to my taste at all. I'm keeping it for historical interest. I enjoyed the interview, though. Sorry..... Its not like you're going to hurt my feelings if you say you don't like it - hell, I'm not the one who wrote and performed the damn song. We're all entitled to our opinions, right? So, by all means, flood the list with "I hated it" messages... at LEAST I'll get a constructive consensus of people's reactions to the song. BTW, if you thought "Departures" was bad, most of you didn't hear the song on the flip side, "Haunted Cocktails" - what an atrocious song THAT one was...thank heavens Basia didn't sing on that one. Ok Folks. Please, get a clue. Every message that gooes out has instructions for unsubscribing in the header. They look like this: X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "basia-request@smoe.org" with "unsubscribe" as the body. In addition, each of you received instructions for unsubscribing when you subscribed. Note that I dont always have time to read all of the lists I manage, so if you want to unsub you have to do it the right way.
