Well, I'm stitting here at work with the first Basia Internet Video Collection CD in my CD-ROM drive. I just tested the MPEG playback for several of the clips, and it seems to look pretty good. This is just volume 1 -- I still need to digitize a few things for volume 2, but here are some statistics. 647 MB of data 56 minutes of MPEG-1 video 14 video clips, including all of the Matt Bianco WSAYO? videos 5 MP3 clips from Basia's rare promo CD, ESK-1276 I did miss a couple of things. David Letterman's 1990 Basia interview is on the disc, but the performance that went with it is missing. It will be on volume two. The recent video interview that Alfred Wong found isn't included -- it just got to me this weekend. I've also heard a rumor of a couple of additional Time and Tide-era performances that I'm tracking. I need to look at file sizes now to see how close I am to having volume 2 ready. Depending on available space, I'd love to add MP3 files of some of the live shows I have on tape. I'm going to burn my first V1 copies tonight and send them to the contributors. If you're not on that list, hold tight. I need to make sure they layout works on a variety of systems before the general release. I'd also like to get volume 2 done before doing a large mailout to minimize my time spent shipping.
